Historic Lexington

The Lexington Historical Society, founded in 1886, provides public tours of Lexington's historic sites that played important roles in the Battle of Lexington.  The Society has extensive archives of Lexington history through the years, as well as rich collections of objects spanning the years from the Town's incorporation in 1713 to the present. Guided tours of these houses are available April through October with tours by appointment during the off-season.

Boston Public Garden

Harvard Natural Museum

At Harvard’s most visited attraction you can explore 12,000 specimens from around the world including dinosaurs, meteorites, gemstones, and hundreds of animals. Get close to the world’s only mounted Kronosaurus, a 42 ft.-long prehistoric marine reptile. Come see the world famous exhibit of 3,000 ‘Glass Flowers’, amazingly realistic models of flowering plants and fruits created in Germany by father-son glass artists Leopold and Rudolph Blaschka from 1886-1936. The museum is a 7-8 minute walk through historic Harvard Yard from the Harvard Square Red Line ‘T’ station.


JFK Library & Museum

At the Nation’s official memorial to John F. Kennedy, you can actually sit at JFK's Oval Office desk, glimpse rare family photos and view video clips of press interviews.  Twenty-five multimedia exhibits, including three theaters and period settings, offer an exciting experience of President Kennedy's days in office.
